Revival Hymn
This is a story of amazing power of God that fell on the people of Scottish island, Lewis. There were just two older women praying for some time, that God would awake people of the island. This amazing story is described in the video below. The man who preached there, was called Duncan Campbell. What happened in those days, is hardly heard of nowadays, nobody mentions it anymore, except yotube videos that somebody made long time ago. Something similar happened also on another occasion in Wales, UK.
Lewis Awakening
In 1949, Campbell felt called to rejoin the Faith Mission which provided him with a house in Edinburgh. However, his ministry took him back to the isle of Skye, where he had worked 25 years before, travelling to and from Edinburgh by motorcycle. This work was successful, leading to people being converted to Christ. He was thoroughly engaged in that work when he received the call to go to the island of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. He initially resisted this call, but doors closed in Skye, opening the opportunity for him to go.
The call came from the Reverend James Murray McKay at the prompting of two Gaelic-speaking sisters in their eighties, who had been praying for revival. It was only at the third invitation that Campbell accepted. Over the following years he traveled from village to village preaching with many people being converted.
On one occasion Campbell was the main preacher at the Faith Mission Convention at Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church in Bangor, Northern Ireland, when he suddenly felt that he must leave at once, despite being engaged to speak at the closing meeting there the next day. He went (according to the call) to the island of Berneray of Harris, where he met an elder of the local church (then without a minister), who was so convinced that Campbell was coming that he had already announced the meetings at which Campbell was to preach. After several days of meetings, suddenly the island was gripped with a new awareness of God.
After unreliable reports of events on Lewis, he published a booklet, The Lewis Awakening, as an official account of this revival.
If we prayed more, like those old ladies, God would surely come like He did in Lewis in those days, but instead we do half an hour prayer once on Wednesday and once on Sunday, this is in most churches. In UK churches, old beautiful buildings are being closed one after another, they are changed into flats, business centers or bought by Muslims and changed into mosques. How do Christians expect God to act when there is so little prayer in the land?
Do you fear God?
The Lord showed me today, how much important it is that we have to overcome sin in our lives. I read Romans 6 with new eyes. This is not an easy walk and we are not just to keep hope that God will forgive us again and again while we commit the same sin endlessly.
We all are struggling with sin but this is something that we have to take really seriously, we have to do all we can to overcome sin, and it is not just 10 commandments. There are many more in the book of proverbs, psalms and other verses.
We have to be serious about hating all kinds of sin and wickedness in us, including our thoughts and desires of our hearts. All the work done in us by the Holy Spirit is focused on showing us our sins and cleansing us to make us holy, to make us like the Lord Jesus. We have to walk in holiness and fear of God, who will not accept sin, there is no other way. We have to overcame our sinful flesh and nature with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Without holiness no one will see God.
———————————————————————-
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:19-23
“Agony”by one of th best preachers, Leonard Ravenhill.
When the Lord Jesus called me back, I knew Him like it is spoken about in this preaching. He showed me His heart, He showed me His burden for the unsaved, He flooded me with rivers of tears for many years. For a few years I went to church on Sunday evening only and did not know anybody there. The Holy Spirit was my teacher. Christians I got to know later, did not understand me, they did not know what I was talking about, how the Lord was revealing to me deep things from His heart, they did not want to pray for hours, they did not want to praise Him and worship all nights, nobody ever mentioned fasting in the church, no deliverance, no praying for the sick like Paul taught. I was shocked to see how almost every meeting was filled with cakes and tea. My heart was very heavy to know that most people are going to hell. I was sent to that small church by the Holy Spirit because it is still one of the few that is lively and teaching the bible without any deception, but my fire for the Lord has been quenched. I have become one of them, sitting on Sunday in the pew twice a day, often falling asleep, and living my life during the week. We do the bible study, we have great singing and many, lovely old people who have lived all their lives with God, they were brought up by Christian parents. They are very nice and God loving people but nobody ever understood the depth of God’s heart and His despair that I was shown. My ideas on what else we can do for Jesus in the outside world are mostly rejected. So, my fire went down and I have become one of the church goers, which bothers me greatly but I don’t really know how to change it as I cannot find anybody else that would be so much on fire as I have been. The preaching below is heart breaking but this is what the real Christianity is. And He is speaking the true about today’s Christians. May God have mercy on us and wake up more of us to this massive battle for human souls.

How to abide in Christ by Paul Washer
Absolute must hear. Very important and very powerful, true teaching which will help us to walk with Christ daily. Not many pastors preach like this anymore.
Paul Washer Jesus has bought you with his blood
‘The consequences of sin’ by one brother in Christ.
Sin has consequences. Human life could never be the same once sin had entered it. The effects of sin can be seen in the whole of life. The most profound effect of sin is summed up in verse 22. We cannot reach out our hands and take hold of eternal life. There is no way […]

The narrow way. Warning.
The devil wants to get the fight out of you and kill it!
So you won’t labor in prayer anymore, you won’t weep before God anymore! You can sit and watch TV and your family will go to hell!
