This is a story of amazing power of God that fell on the people of Scottish island, Lewis. There were just two older women praying for some time, that God would awake people of the island. This amazing story is described in the video below. The man who preached there, was called Duncan Campbell. What happened in those days, is hardly heard of nowadays, nobody mentions it anymore, except yotube videos that somebody made long time ago. Something similar happened also on another occasion in Wales, UK.
In 1949, Campbell felt called to rejoin the Faith Mission which provided him with a house in Edinburgh. However, his ministry took him back to the isle of Skye, where he had worked 25 years before, travelling to and from Edinburgh by motorcycle. This work was successful, leading to people being converted to Christ. He was thoroughly engaged in that work when he received the call to go to the island of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. He initially resisted this call, but doors closed in Skye, opening the opportunity for him to go.
The call came from the Reverend James Murray McKay at the prompting of two Gaelic-speaking sisters in their eighties, who had been praying for revival. It was only at the third invitation that Campbell accepted. Over the following years he traveled from village to village preaching with many people being converted.
On one occasion Campbell was the main preacher at the Faith Mission Convention at Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church in Bangor, Northern Ireland, when he suddenly felt that he must leave at once, despite being engaged to speak at the closing meeting there the next day. He went (according to the call) to the island of Berneray of Harris, where he met an elder of the local church (then without a minister), who was so convinced that Campbell was coming that he had already announced the meetings at which Campbell was to preach. After several days of meetings, suddenly the island was gripped with a new awareness of God.
After unreliable reports of events on Lewis, he published a booklet, The Lewis Awakening, as an official account of this revival.
If we prayed more, like those old ladies, God would surely come like He did in Lewis in those days, but instead we do half an hour prayer once on Wednesday and once on Sunday, this is in most churches. In UK churches, old beautiful buildings are being closed one after another, they are changed into flats, business centers or bought by Muslims and changed into mosques. How do Christians expect God to act when there is so little prayer in the land?
Dear Christians, if you are struggling with your faith and do not trust God that He can take care of you, or you do not believe that you have power and authority over evil spirits which are in all criminals, murderers and all kinds of evil people, look at this video. God, our Father in heaven is getting us ready for Jesus Christ coming back, we will see more and more supernatural acts like this. God wants you to realize who you are in Christ. The Church of Christ is very powerful but lots of Christians do not know it. We have the same power of the Holy Spirit in us as the first apostles had, the same spirit of God, who raised Jesus from death, people have to wake up and believe it. God does not want us to be cowards and little scared mice, He said to Joshua, be bold, be courageous for I am with you wherever you go. God was very angry when people did not believe Him. Do you believe God or not? I see many Christians that sit in the churches and sings songs but in every day life they do not have faith, they battle depression, fear, anxiety, panic attacks, worry, hopelessness, suicidal thoughts, various diseases etc, they do not realize that they are under demonic attacks, the devil torments them freely as they have no knowledge, they do not believe in deliverance, they do not use the power given us by Jesus Christ, they suffer for years, take drugs, go to doctors, to psychologists, psychiatrists and all kinds of specialists, they believe in human knowledge but not in the power of God, whom they proclaim to worship. So what is the bible, how is it that Christians do not believe in what God says. Did He not say, I am your healer, deliverer, Savior, I am your help in troubles? Think about it and get hope, our God is mighty and the only things He wants from you is to love Him, to believe him and obey His commandments.
Check the well known story about Eli-ah and false prophets of Jezebel below.
17 When he saw Elijah, he asked, “Is it you—the biggest troublemaker in Israel?”
18 Elijah answered, “I have not made trouble in Israel. You and your father’s family have made all this trouble by not obeying the Lord’s commands. You have gone after the Baals. 19 Now tell all Israel to meet me at Mount Carmel. Also bring the four hundred fifty prophets of Baal and the four hundred prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel’s table.”
20 So Ahab called all the Israelites and those prophets to Mount Carmel.21 Elijah approached the people and said, “How long will you not decide between two choices? If the Lord is the true God, follow him, but if Baal is the true God, follow him!” But the people said nothing.
22 Elijah said, “I am the only prophet of the Lord here, but there are four hundred fifty prophets of Baal. 23 Bring two bulls. Let the prophets of Baal choose one bull and kill it and cut it into pieces. Then let them put the meat on the wood, but they are not to set fire to it. I will prepare the other bull, putting the meat on the wood but not setting fire to it. 24 You prophets of Baal, pray to your god, and I will pray to the Lord. The god who answers by setting fire to his wood is the true God.”
All the people agreed that this was a good idea.
25 Then Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “There are many of you, so you go first. Choose a bull and prepare it. Pray to your god, but don’t start the fire.”
26 So they took the bull that was given to them and prepared it. They prayed to Baal from morning until noon, shouting “Baal, answer us!” But there was no sound, and no one answered. They danced around the altar they had built.
27 At noon Elijah began to make fun of them. “Pray louder!” he said. “If Baal really is a god, maybe he is thinking, or busy, or traveling! Maybe he is sleeping so you will have to wake him!” 28 The prophets prayed louder, cutting themselves with swords and spears until their blood flowed, which was the way they worshiped. 29 The afternoon passed, and the prophets continued to act like this until it was time for the evening sacrifice. But no voice was heard; Baal did not answer, and no one paid attention.
30 Then Elijah said to all the people, “Now come to me.” So they gathered around him, and Elijah rebuilt the altar of the Lord, which had been torn down. 31 He took twelve stones, one stone for each of the twelve tribes, the number of Jacob’s sons. (The Lord changed Jacob’s name to Israel.) 32 Elijah used these stones to rebuild the altar in honor of the Lord. Then he dug a ditch around the altar that was big enough to hold about thirteen quarts of seed. 33 Elijah put the wood on the altar, cut the bull into pieces, and laid the pieces on the wood. 34 Then he said, “Fill four jars with water, and pour it on the meat and on the wood.” Then Elijah said, “Do it again,” and they did it again. Then he said, “Do it a third time,” and they did it the third time. 35 So the water ran off the altar and filled the ditch.
36 At the time for the evening sacrifice, the prophet Elijah went near the altar. “Lord, you are the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel,” he prayed. “Prove that you are the God of Israel and that I am your servant. Show these people that you commanded me to do all these things. 37 Lord, answer my prayer so these people will know that you, Lord, are God and that you will change their minds.”
38 Then fire from the Lord came down and burned the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, and the ground around the altar. It also dried up the water in the ditch. 39 When all the people saw this, they fell down to the ground, crying, “The Lord is God! The Lord is God!”
40 Then Elijah said, “Capture the prophets of Baal! Don’t let any of them run away!” The people captured all the prophets. Then Elijah led them down to the Kishon Valley, where he killed them.
The Rain Comes Again
41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Now, go, eat, and drink, because a heavy rain is coming.” 42 So King Ahab went to eat and drink. At the same time Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel, where he bent down to the ground with his head between his knees.
43 Then Elijah said to his servant, “Go and look toward the sea.”
The servant went and looked. “I see nothing,” he said.
Elijah told him to go and look again. This happened seven times. 44 The seventh time, the servant said, “I see a small cloud, the size of a human fist, coming from the sea.”
Elijah told the servant, “Go to Ahab and tell him to get his chariot ready and go home now. Otherwise, the rain will stop him.”
45 After a short time the sky was covered with dark clouds. The wind began to blow, and soon a heavy rain began to fall. Ahab got in his chariot and started back to Jezreel. 46 The Lord gave his power to Elijah, who tightened his clothes around him and ran ahead of King Ahab all the way to Jezreel.
1 Kings 18.
Halleluyah! Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord Jesus for saving us from sin and the hands of the devil, and giving us all power and authority over the enemy. Thank you Lord Jesus, you are awesome!
This is healing of a young woman from horrible back problems by the power of the Holy, Almighty God. We serve the God of miracles, who expresses His awesome power by deliverance from demons and healing this sick, like the Lord Jesus did.
The churches do not teach it. They do not teach deliverance and healing. The churches only preach the gospel, every Sunday and for ever. I absolutely love the bible and the word of God, which is our lifebelt but there is so much more to do, that we should be doing.
The bible is absolutely of vital importance but the Lord Jesus said: follow me and do what I have been doing. He did not say, come and listen to the sermon every Sunday for 50 years and you will be good. We should be always learning and growing in the word of God but what about all the other mighty works of God? How many churches do healing or deliverance? It is beyond my understanding, who they do not do what Jesus said we should be doing. Is it that Christians do not believe the word of God? Is the God of today, somebody else than the God of 2000 years ago? So, why did he say – I do not change? How many pastors devote their time to praying for the sick like this and casting out demons of tormented people? This man below, is such a pastor but there are very few of them, while people, even Christians are perishing in torment, the pastors just peach sermons on Sundays as if the word of God was a lie. As if our God had no power at all. Yes, I do believe in the power of prayer when we pray intercessory prayer but there is so much more when we believe in Jesus. I myself was miraculously healed at least a few times, just because I believe what the bible says and I believe my Jesus. Why so many doubt?
The pastor below, he was a satanist, totally demonized and the Lord had mercy on Him, He saved the lost man so now he is preaching the gospel, casting demons out and healing the sick. Amazing miracles happen during his meetings, people are getting healed in front of others, even unbelievers get healed and this is how they come to Jesus for salvation by seeing the power of God.
I want to stress that the pastor is a very humble man. He does not take any money for this, He is devoted to serving the Lord Jesus.
The girl below had horrible problems with her back and hands, she was bound in bed for 3 years and was awaiting serious operation but she prayed to the Lord to heal her, she believed that He could do it. Her friends brought her on her wheelchair to this meeting and this is how she got healed. Amazing God! Amazing grace! Praise to Jesus, the Lord of lords!
